Last year, Chelsea Canfield made one of the biggest decisions in her life. After much soul-searching and a lot of research she decided to pursue gastric bypass surgery. At the time of her decision, her insurance company had coverage available for the procedure. During the process of preparing for the procedure, her insurance provider changed. Unfortunately, her new policy does not offer this coverage. The cost for the entire process is approximately $20,000. This type of cost has put the surgery out of Chelsea's reach. Some of us close to Chelsea don't want to see her miss this opportunity. A donation fund has been established so her friends and family can now help Chelsea realize her dream. Right now I weigh 365 lbs…
Does that make me unhappy? No! I live a joyous life! However: am I healthy? No! Can I walk up a flight of stairs without huffing and puffing? No! I can barely walk a mile without stopping five times or more to rest.
One of the things I desire out of life is to be married and to have children. But with my current weight are those things possible for me? Not really. I want to lead a long, healthy life. That’s why I am on a quest to have weight loss surgery.
If there is one thing you need to know about me is that this surgery will not change who I am, but change the way I live.
Thank you for visiting this site and thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for helping me reach my goal!
